Hotpants, shorts or overpants?

Hotpants are close-fitting padded shorts worn underneath. The OBO Robo Hotpants, for example, use 13 protective panels in a stretchy Lycra short and are designed to be worn with overshorts on top.

Padded shorts are a single layer of protection, and a sensible choice for newer keepers.

Overpants and overshorts go over the top of your padding. Many come in colours to match your smock, like the OBO Mono range.

Remember to pair your shorts with a groin guard.
