Kookaburra make some of the best-value sticks in hockey, and their 2026/27 range is refreshingly easy to follow: LB means low bow, MB means mid bow, and the number is the carbon percentage. It runs from the wooden Neon and Mystic junior sticks, through the LB10, LB20 and MB30, to the 50% carbon LB50 and MB50 and the 98% forged carbon Pro Elite 98. Not sure which one? Which Kookaburra stick should I buy?

  • Young child, first stick: the Neon or the Mystic, which adds fibreglass to the wood for extra strength.
  • First adult stick: the LB10 or MB10, an easy step up from wood.
  • Developing club player: the LB20 for a first carbon low bow, or the MB30 for close control.
  • Regular club player: the LB50 for lifts and 3D skills, or the MB50 if you hit and slap a lot.
  • Elite player: the Pro Elite 98.

Low bow or mid bow?

A low bow (LB) makes it easier to get under the ball for lifts, aerials and 3D skills. A mid bow (MB) is more forgiving for hitting, passing and receiving. Our bow guide explains the difference in more detail.
