Osaka Ryu: elite performance
The Osaka Ryu is Osaka's top-tier hockey shoe for 2026/27. Its decoupled sole lets the forefoot and heel flex independently, and a triangular cleat pattern grips in every direction on artificial turf. Cushioning comes from Osaka's Astrofoam midsole, a tuned EVA foam that compresses on impact and rebounds quickly, on an 8 mm heel-to-toe drop. KPU overlays on the breathable mesh upper add lateral support, the O-Spot flex zone lets the sole bend under the outside of the midfoot, and a reinforced heel counter with a Hydrotex membrane holds the heel in place.
Best for: senior club, university and performance players who want Osaka's most supportive, responsive shoe. 2026/27 colours: Iconic White, Wild Lime and Rose Bud.
Osaka Kai Pro Tour: the all-rounder
Osaka calls the Kai Mk1 Pro Tour its all-round performance shoe: lightweight, comfortable and grippy, at a lower price than the Ryu. It has a 10 mm heel-to-toe drop, a full-contact outsole and a water-resistant dual-layer mesh upper with heel-lock lacing, and it is built for both water-based and sand-based pitches.
Best for: club players who want one pair for matches and training. 2026/27 colours: Wild Lime, Blue Topaz and Rose Bud. Selected 2025/26 Kai Pro Tour colourways are reduced while sizes last.
Osaka Furo: lightweight speed
The Osaka Furo is a lightweight shoe built for speed and quick changes of direction, at Osaka's most accessible senior price. A spandex bootie with lace closure gives a secure fit, a double-layer TPU toe bumper protects the high-wear areas, and the rubber outsole is made for grip on water-based or sand-based pitches. Osaka describe it as unisex and true to size.
Best for: club and social players, a second pair for training, or juniors moving up into senior sizes. 2026/27 colours: Wild Lime and Blue Topaz.
Osaka Furo Play: junior hockey shoes
The Osaka Furo Play is the junior version of the Furo, sized UK 1–6 for growing players. Like the Furo it uses a bootie construction with a lace closure, giving young players Osaka styling and turf grip at a junior price. 2026/27 colours: Blue Topaz and Hot Pink. The IDO MK2 was Osaka's flagship for 2025/26. Remaining sizes in Fluorescent Lime and Almond Peach are now reduced, making it one of the best-value premium hockey shoes we stock.
Osaka hockey shoe sizing
Osaka senior shoes run from UK 4 to UK 11.5 and the junior Furo Play runs from UK 1 to UK 6. Osaka describe the Furo and Furo Play as true to size, and the Ryu is built on an anatomical last that follows the shape of the foot. Start with the size you wear in everyday trainers and try new shoes on with your hockey socks, as thicker socks can change the fit.
