Lets dive right in!
Best Value For Money Hockey Shoe
Grays AeroCage X Hockey Shoe
With its high quality materials and outrageously good grip for the price of the shoe, the Grays Aerocage has really stood out to us this season. With customers feeding back just how robust they are playing on both astroturf and water base. Grays spent some time redesigning this years shoe, and we couldn't love the design more.
Best Junior Hockey Shoe
Adidas Youngstar Hockey Shoe
There is probably not a huge surprise to see the Adidas Youngstar taking top spot for best junior hockey shoe this year. It has repeatedly been one our best selling junior hockey shoes for the past 5 years. With its incredible design and ability to be flexible for sizing, there is not a lot to dislike about the youngstar hockey shoe. The fact it comes in 4 different colours allows juniors to get the right colour they want, along with the quality they need for all types of levels of junior hockey.
Special mentions to the Osaka Furo Play and Mizuno Wave Lynx 2 junior shoes that gave the Youngstar a run for its money. We truly are living in junior shoe paradise due to the quality of designs being produced by huge manufacturers.
Our Top 3 Hockey Shoes
Taking 3rd spot: Osaka Furo Grey Hockey Shoe
The Furo shoe range from Osaka takes third spot. We particularly liked the lace function on the Furo that allowed for some really unique customising to make sure you got the correct tightness and fit for your foot. The ability to have amazing grip on both sand and water based pitches also really stood out to us.
The Osaka Furo seems to do all things incredibly well for all players and foot shapes. It is certainly the most versatile hockey shoe we've reviewed this year and that's why it takes third place.
Taking 2nd spot: Adidas Adipower Hockey Shoe
The adipower has been around for quite some time now. And Adidas haven't changed a great deal about this shoe, and we can see why. It blends the need for a really comfortable high quality hockey shoe whilst also being lightweight, and highly durable for those twists and turns in hockey.
The Primegreen mesh gives unrivalled breathability so during those hot training days or for those that don't like the feeling of their feet overheating, this shoe really is in a league of its own.
Taking 1st spot: Drumroll please.... Mizuno Leopardus Hockey Shoe
And in first place..... the top place goes to the Mizuno Leopardus hockey shoe! What can we say? Other than it's simply a magnificant hockey shoe. If you like lightweight, streamlined hockey shoes then look no further than the Leopardus. Due to its lightweight design we found the feedback received whilst playing really allows you to have the confidence that the shoe will aid you in even the sharpest of turns and stopping.
The quality of the materials is also what really stood out to us, and the fact it comes in three different colours really helps every player pick the correct design. Whether it was the grip, the design, the weight.... the top stop firmly goes to the Mizuno Leopardus for 2024/25 season.
