Y1 2025/26 Hockey Stick Range

Welcome to one of the biggest stick range releases of the year! The brand new Y1 hockey stick range. Y1 have taken inspiration from Scandinavia this year, keeping their colour ways and designs simple and effective.

There are a few new additions to the stick range this season, including a brand new drag flicking bow.

As with a lot of the hockey brands these days, Y1 don't state the exact carbon content in their sticks, but the general guide is as follows:

X = wrapped in 95 - 100% swedish carbon

X.2 = wrapped in 85 - 90% swedish carbon

70 = wrapped in 70% swedish carbon

50 = wrapped in 50% swedish carbon

30 = wrapped in 30% swedish carbon

ADB Hockey Stick Range

The Y1 ADB stands for "advanced dribble bow" and does what it says on the tin! This stick is made for those players who want good predictability from their stick. It's mid-bow allowing for very consistent feedback for slapping, hitting and dribbling. A great all-rounder stick!

GLB/GGLB Hockey Stick Range

The Y1 GLB/GGLB range (same stick in 2 different colours) contains a later low bow than the ADB, making it easier to execute skills such as 3D and flicking. If you're a player who still wants a fairly predictable, easy stick to use whilst still having the added aid for 3D and flicking, then this is the stick for you!

LB Hockey Stick Range

The most popular stick in the Y1 range! Designed with 3D and drag flicking in mind, the LB (low bow) has a thinned head profile and dynamic bow which allows for more slingshot feel when drag flicking. The bow isn't so late that is sacrifices first-touch, making it a great stick for all positions.

MR Hockey Stick Range

The Y1 MR range features a thin low bow for players who are looking for quality first touch along with a slightly different head design which is meant to aid left - to - right dragging. The MR certainly has midfielders in mind who like to dribble, get the ball up with 3D skills, whilst not losing the ability to hit and slap the ball effectively.

YLB Hockey Stick Range

This one is for the drag flickers! With a more severe late bow than the LB or MR and a concave shaft, the YLB generates a lot of power during drag flicks. With it's "knife cut" head shape it allows the player to do 3D skills even more easily. If you're a player who loves to get the ball in the air then this is a really good option.

BB Hockey Stick Range

Y1's new stick range for 2025! The Y1 BB hockey stick has drag flicking and dribbling at the forefront of its design. With a unique "Cradle Control Technology" the head of the stick is angled back, which is meant to allow for better control of the hockey ball when dribbling. It is a unique design completely specific to Y1. It also comes with the white face which we have seen become more popular amongst brands specialising in drag flicking.
