Hockey Shin Liners

Sort by Best selling

Shin liners, also called inner socks, go between your leg and your shin pads. They're more comfortable than pads straight on the skin, they help keep your pads where they should be, and they're easy to wash. We stock printed inner socks and leg sleeves from Hocsocx, plus plain shin liners from Osaka and TK, including TK liners with or without a stirrup. Ordering for a team? Call us on 0191 447 4744.

Do I need shin liners?

You don't have to wear them, but most players do. Wearing pads straight on your skin can rub, and a liner helps hold them in place so they don't slip down mid-match. Pull the liner on first, then your shin pads, then your hockey socks over the top.

What's the difference between inner socks and leg sleeves?

Inner socks cover your foot as well as your shin, while leg sleeves and footless liners stop at the ankle, so you can wear your own socks or grip socks underneath. TK's shin liners come with or without a stirrup under the foot.

How do I wash them?

Follow the care label, but most liners go in a normal wash. Wash them after every game or two and your kit bag will be a much nicer place. Not sure which shin pads to wear with them? Read our guide on how to choose field hockey shin pads.
