NOX Padel Rackets Explained: X-Hero vs Equation vs AT10 vs Ventus
X-Hero, X-One, Equation, AT10, NextGen, Ventus... NOX have a lot of rackets, and the names don't always tell you much about who they're for. So here's our plain-English guide to the 2026 NOX rackets we stock, from the easy-going X-Hero to the 12K carbon Ventus.
The short version: if you're new to padel, start with the X-Hero or X-One. If you've been playing a while and want a step up, look at the Equation. And if your technique is solid, the AT10 Pro Cup Soft, NextGen and Ventus are where things get interesting.
What do NOX's tech names mean?
A few names come up again and again in the NOX range, so it's worth knowing them before you choose:
- HR3: NOX's EVA rubber core. The White and Soft versions feel softer and make it easier to get the ball away, while the Hard version is firmer and more direct.
- MLD Black EVA: the core used in the NextGen and Ventus, paired with stiffer 12K carbon faces.
- 3K fibreglass and aluminised fibreglass faces: softer, more forgiving faces that help the ball come off the racket easily.
- 12K carbon faces: stiffer and more precise, for players with good technique.
- AVS and Pulse System: rubber inserts and systems in the frame to cut down vibration.
NOX X-Hero: the easiest place to start
The X-Hero is a round racket for beginners and improving players. The round shape keeps the balance towards your hand, which makes it easy to control and forgiving when you don't hit the middle, and the HR3 White EVA core gives a soft feel with easy power. NOX rate it 100 for control and 75 for power, which tells you exactly where its priorities are. It comes in Blue and White, with the same spec in both.
NOX X-One Silhouette: an even bigger sweet spot
The X-One Silhouette has an oversized round head, so the sweet spot is even wider than the X-Hero's and off-centre hits still come back under control. It has a soft HR3 core, 3K fibreglass faces and a carbon frame, and it's a great choice if you're playing regularly and want a racket that builds your confidence.
NOX Equation Advanced: the step up
The Equation Advanced rackets are round, medium-balance rackets for intermediate players, with 3K fibreglass faces, a carbon frame, AVS anti-vibration inserts and Exclusive Spin rough faces. The difference is the core:
- Equation Soft Advanced: an HR3 Soft core for a comfier strike and more ball rebound. Great if you play long sessions or want to look after your arm.
- Equation Hard Advanced: an HR3 Hard core for a firmer, more precise response. Better if you've got a quicker swing and like to feel exactly where the ball's going.
NOX AT10 Pro Cup Soft: Tapia's shape, softer feel
The AT10 Pro Cup Soft is part of NOX's range with Agustín Tapia, one of the best players in the world, and it's built on the mould of his 2025 racket. It's a teardrop with aluminised fibreglass faces, an HR3 Soft EVA core, EOS Flap perforations for manoeuvrability and the Pulse System to reduce vibration. NOX aim it at advanced players who want comfort as well as performance.
NOX NextGen Pro Hybrid 12K NFA Series: firm and precise
The NextGen Pro Hybrid 12K NFA Series is a hybrid shape (a mix of round and teardrop) with 12K carbon faces, an MLD Black EVA core and Dual Spin textured faces. NOX describe the feel as medium-hard, and it's aimed at intermediate to advanced players who attack and defend.
NOX Ventus Hybrid 12K Lite: lighter and faster
The Ventus Hybrid 12K Lite uses the new mould from NOX's 2026 Luxury collection, but drops the weight to 355–365g so it's quicker in your hand at the net. It has 12K carbon faces, an MLD Black EVA core and a medium balance, and the feel is firm. NOX pitch it at advanced players, so if you're still working on your technique, the Equation is a better bet.
